Accommodation Guide

Although not obligatory, tipping is customary in taxis, restaurants, hotels and cafés. Bills generally include a 10% service charge. There are no standard rates for tipping. Bills are usually rounded up.



Here you can find travel information from Schiphol Airport to The Hague and from The Hague Central Station to the hotels.

From Schiphol Airport to Den Haag (The Hague).

The quickest and easiest way to travel from and to the Schiphol airport is by train. From Schiphol Airport there are several direct trains to the central station of The Hague (Den Haag CS).

Schiphol railway station is situated directly below the airport. You can pick up a free baggage trolley from the platform. Via Schiphol Plaza, you can walk straight to the departure or arrival hall.

Train tickets

Tickets are available from the ticket offices, which are situated close to the red/white-checked cube at Schiphol Plaza. Staff at the ticket offices will also be able to provide you with train departure information.

The journey planner on this website will provide you with information on the Schiphol - The Hague - Schiphol timetable. It also contains the latest travel information, including details of temporary timetable changes.

Night train

If you are departing/arriving at night or in the early morning, the railway's night network could be the answer. The night trains travel once an hour between Schiphol Airport and The Hague (Den Haag CS) and vice versa.

From Den Haag Central Station to the hotels

Sofitel

Sofitel is located next to the Central Station. (See the map)

Novotel

You can do either of the following:

  • take a taxi from the Central station;
  • take a tram: lines 1 or 16 (and stop at Centrum) (see the map for the tram lines)
  • walk about 15 minutes (see the map for directions)

Mercure

You can do either of the following:

  • take a taxi from the Central station
  • take a tram: lines 1, 9, 15, 16 (stop at Spui-Stadhuis) (see the map for the tram lines)
  • walk about 15 minutes (see the map for directions)
Ibis

You can do either of the following:

  • take a taxi from the Central station
  • take a tram: line 17 (stop at Gravenstraat) (see the map for the tram lines)
  • walk about 20 minutes (see the map for directions)
